Kershw District      In the Court of Ordinary
Tuesday, the 15th April 1851, Personally appeared
Dr. E.M. boykin and made oath in due form
of Law, And Saith that he Saw Mrs. Ellen Chesnut
who was then of Sound disposing mind memory
and understanding, Sign, Seal, publish and
declare, the foregoing and annexed instrument
of writing, to be and Contain her last will and
testament. And that he this deponant, together
with J.D. Murray and B.H. Matheson in the presence
of each other and in the presence of the Testatrix
witnessed the due execution thereof.

              I Ellen Chesnut widow of John
Chesnut, having on the 15th day of October A.D.
1850, made and executed my last will and testament
which I do hereby Confirm do now make publish
and declare, this Codicil to my Said will, having
by an instrument in the hand writing of my
Sister, Sarah Chesnut, bearing date the 22nd day
of January Anno Domini 1857, Signed by me
and attested by the witnesses of this Codicil distribute
Certain house hold articles among my children.
I hereby declare it to be my intention and will
that Said articles Shall not be a part of my
estate in the hand of my executors but that
the Same, at my death (and not before) Shall
be taken possession of by the persons Specified
in Said instrument as therein provided to each
absolutely and without any of the usual form
of Law. I Direct that the Said articles Shall
