I Nancy R. Lewis, wife of John 
Lewis of Alachua County late of
Florida do make this my last will
and testament, hereby revoking and
making said all former wills by me
at any time heretofore made; and
first-I direct that my body be decently
entered, and that funeral be conducted
in a maner corresponding with
my Estate and situation in life; and
as to such worldy property as it has
pleased God to invest me with,
I dispose of the same as follows first
I direct that my slaves Robert, age 
about 22 years- Edy age about 21
years, Mary Ann age about 30 years
and her children Adaline, age 10 years
Jane age 8 years, Laura age 6 years, & Ida
an inf and be retained in the possession
of my Husband John Lewis, during the
term of his natural life, said slaves
to be used by him as his other Servants,
but not to be liable or subject in any
way to any debts that he may contract.
I first here direct that at the death of my
said Husband, the above named slaves
with any natural increase, that maybe
alloted to the same; be divided among
my children share and share alike
dispose as practicable-The names 
of my children are as follows.-
William B. Lewis, Charles W. Lewis,
Frances R. Canicaid**, Wilber G. Lewis
Agnes E. Lewis Mary R. Lewis, Martha
C. Lewis; And I so hereby make and 
ordain my Son, William B. Lewis, my
Trustee, to act, and carry out the
provisions of this my last will and
