               Codicil
This Codicil is intended to be a part of my
last Will and testament made on The 19th February
1852 and Witnessed by M.A.M. Leggs C.H. Durham and
J.F. Durham,
1st  I give and bequeath to my wife Sarah Jones
my Negro boy Starke to her and her heirs forever,
and I revoke so much of my said Will
as leaves her only a life estate in said boy Starke.
I also give and bequeath to my said wife and
her heirs, my Negro Woman Serasy.
2nd  I give and bequeath to the Children of my
son Osmond L. Jones my Negro boy Bill, as
well as the negro boys Joe and Jim bequeathed
to them by the 7th clause of my will and
I hereby revoke the Codicil to my Will in the
fourth page Thereof, and confirm and republish
the said Seventh Clause, with the
additional bequeath being of Bill to O.L.
Jones' children.
4th  I give and bequeath my negro girl Maria
and her future increase to Polly Mickle
Kennedy to her sole and seperate use for life
not subject to the debts Contracts or
of any future husband and after her
death to such issue as she may leave 
living at the time of her death, and in
default of such issue so surviving I give
and bequeath said slave and her increase
to Polly Kennedy Sister Sarah Kennedy
5th  I give and bequeath to my daughter 
Cynthia Kennedy the sum of Fifty dollars
In Witness whereof I have hereunto aff-
ixed my hand and Seal This Fifth
of February A.D. 1853
