County of Alachua     2nd February A.D. 1849
          This indenture made this Second day of February
in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and forty
nine, between Elias Pettit of the Town of Newnansville
State and County aforesaid of the one part, and Arthur
Floyd of the Same Place, of the Second part, Witnesseth
that whereas the Said Elias Pettit of the first part for and
in consideration of the sum of thirty dollars ($30) to him
in hand paid at and before the Sealing and delivering of
these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
hath granted, bargained, Sold, and conveyed, and do by these
Presents, grant, bargain, Sell, and Convey unto the Said
Arthur Floyd, his heirs and assigns, one lot of land con-
taining one half acre lying and being in the Town of
Newnansville, State and County aforesaid, Known on
a certain map or plat of Said Town of Newnansville
as lot number thirteen (13) of the North half Range
together with all and Singular the tenements and appur-
tenances thereunto belonging in any wise appertaining
unto the Said Elias Pettit, his heirs and assigns, executors
and administrators the Said bargained premises unto the
Said Arthur Floyd his heirs and assigns, will warrant
and forever defend the rights and titles thereof against
themselves and against the claims of all other persons
whatever,    In witness whereof the Said Elias Pettit hath
hereunto Set his hand and Seal this the day and year
above written

Alachua County      Personally appeared before me the undersigned Clerk
of the Circuit Court for the Counties of Alachua & Levy Richard Ryan
one of the Subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing
who being duly Sworn according to law, Says that he Saw Elias
Pettit sign seal and deliver the within instrument of writing
for the purposes therein Specified, and that he Executed the Same
in the presence of the other Subscribing witness
