THIS INDENTURE made the Second day of
July in the year of our lord one thousand Eight
hundred and twenty one, BETWEEN Don Fernando
de la Maya Arredondo and Son of Havanna in
the Island of Cuba Merchants of the first part and
Nathaniel Wells of the City and State of New
York Merchant of the second part- Witnesseth
that the said parties of the first part for and in
consideration of the sum of Fifteen Thousand
Dollars lawful money of the United States of America
to them in hand paid at or before the Ensealing and
delivery of these presents by the said party of the
second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
and the said parties of the first part therewith fully
satisfied, contented and paid have remised released
and quit claimed and by these presents do remise,
release and quit Claim unto the said party of the
second part and to his heirs and assigns FOREVER
ALL that Thirty Thousand acres of Land being an undivided
part of a certain tract of Land containing Two
Hundred and Eighty Nine Thousand Six Hundred and
Forty five acres and five seventh of an acre Situate lying
and being in the Alachua Territory in East Florida West
of St. Augustine as by reference to the Grant made to
Don Fernando de la Maya Arredondo and Son of
the said tract by the Spanish Government which Grant
is dated at Havanna on the twenty Second day of December
in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred
and Seventeen will more fully appear. The said larger
tract of Two Hundred and Eighty nine thousand
Six hundred and forty five acres and five Sevenths of
an acre is to be divided into twelve parts and those
parts to be balloted for by the parties interested in the
division to be made.
     Together with all and singular the hereditaments
and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any
wise appertaining, and the reversion, and reversions 
remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof
AND ALSO, All the Estate, right, title, interest, dower
and right of dower, property possession, claim and
demand whatsoever as well in law as in Equity
