This Indenture made this     day of December One
Thousand Eight hundred and forty nine between Joel B. Smith, of the
County of Alachua of the one part and James A. Paden of thesame
County of the othery party witnesseith, that the said Joel
B. Smith for and in consideration of the sum of thirty five dollars
to him in hand paid by the said James A. Paden at and 
before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained and sold and by these presents
doth bargain sell and confirm to the said James A. Paden
all those two certain lots or pieces or parcels of lands each
containing one half an acre which lying and being in the
Town of Newnansvile County of Alachua State of Florida On
a certain map or plat of said Town of Newnansville
as lots numbered Seven (7) and Eight (8) of block
number six (6) Range number Two (2) together with
all the appertenances thereof, To have and to hold
said two above described lots or parcels of land
with all and singular their appertenances thereof to the said
James A. Paden his heirs and assigns forever and the
said Joel B. Smith for himself, his heirs &c, covenants and
agrees with the same James A. Paden that the said Joel
B. Smith his heirs &c, will warrant and defend to the
same James A. Paden his heirs &c, a good lawful and
defendable title to said two lots or parcels of land against
himself and others claiming by him or under him and all
other persons whatsoever.
     In witness whereof the said Joel B. Smith
