Warrantee Deed
This indenture made the twenty second day of October in
the year of Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty nine
Between Ellen Adair Beatty widow Executrix and sole
Divisee of Theophilus Beatty deceased, and Executrix widow and
general legate and Devisee of Joseph M. White deceased, of the county
of Jefferson Florida of the first part, and William H. Brockenbrough
for one moity and William W. Sims and William W. Cheever for one fourth
each as tennants tenants in common and not as joint tenants of
the second part Witnesseth that the said party of the first part;
for and in consideration for and in cons of the sum of one thousand
dollars ($1000) lawful money of the United States of America, to
her in hand paid, by the said party of the second part at or before
the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the reciept whereof is hereby
acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, remised, released,
conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargin, sell,
alien, remise, release, convey and confirm, unto the said parties of the
second part, and to their heirs and assigns forever, all and singular,
the following discribed premises, or tract of land five hundred and
fifteen and forty four hundredth acres (515 44/100 ) being in section 22
Township 12 range 20 S&E as appears to have been awarded
by the commissionars for the settlement of the Aredondo grant
in Alachua by a letter from Moses E. Levy dated 21 st March 1849
and in case there be any error in the name then whatever lands have or
may be awarded in said tract; sale right tittle and interest accuring
to said White in his life time, or said Beatty in his life time, as said
Ellen by their wills, or Levys contract with White and his deed to
Beatty & wife for twelve hundred and twenty acres of land entered
bearing date January 29th 1846, acknowledging his indebtedness
to said White in his life time and said Ellen and Theophilus since his death and
conveying in consideration thereof said 1220 acres to said Ellen and Theophilus
the same being described as land of average quality in the Aredondo grant
in Alachua County County, being part of 4480 obtained by said Levy
by judgement execution & sale of the interest of Estate of J.M. Arredondo
in the undivided grant of land of four leagues at each wind made to
Fernando de La Maza Arredondo and son by Spanish goverment & confirmed
to said Levy by decree decree of Super Ct. East Florida June term 1845
and which land was then being partitioned by commissioners one half to said Brocken -
-brough and one fourth each to said Sims and Cheever, as tenants in common
and not as joint tenants. Together with all and singular the tenements,
hereditaments, and appurtenances there unto belonging or in any wise appertaining
and the reversion and reversions and remainder and remainders, rents, issues, and profits
