Island of Cuba, and the said Andrew S.Garr further on his oath
aforesaid says that he together with William B. Wallace, D. Thomp-
son and John Mountain at the time of the execution of the said
Instrument respectively signed their names thereto as witnesses.
All which being all to which being to me satisfactory evidence
of its due execution, I do allow it to be recorded

                         A Deed of Gift
     Know all men by these presents that I Lite Townsend of the
County of Alachua and State of Florida for and in consideration
of the natural love and affection which I bear unto my daughter
Mary Kendrick and for her better prefferment in marriage and the
increase of her Portion and also in consideration of the sum of 
one Dollar to me in hand paid by my said daughter Mary Kendrick
at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt where-
of I do hereby acknowledge have given granted bargained and 
Sold and by these Presents do grant bargain and Sell unto my 
said daughter Mary Kendrick the following named negroes to wit;
One Negro Man by the name of Dennis of Yellow complexion age 
about twenty eight years and also one negro woman by the name of
Eliza and her two children by the name of Nelson & Sarah and al-
so One negro woman by the name of Sela and her Child Frank and
also one negro woman by the name of Libby. To have and to hold 
all and singular the above named Negroes hereby giving and grant
ing unto my daughter Mary Kendrick and the lawful heirs of her
body, her Executors and Administrators for ever as her and 
their own lawful property in witness Whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and Seal this fourth day of January A.D. 1847
