Know all men by these presents that I Sarah Ann Sanchez late of
San Palaska in the State of Florida, and now of Brutus in the County of Cayuga
and State of New York have made constituted and appointed, and by these
presents, do make constitute and appoint, Robert G. Livingston of Newnansville
in the State of Florida aforesaid, Counsellor at Law, my true and lawful attorney, 
for one, and in my name, place and stead, to govern, direct, control, let on him, 
all the Negroes being in Florida as aforesaid belonging to me under and by virtue
of a marriage contract executed by and between Francis R. Sanchez (now deceased)
late of San Palacka aforesaid, and myself the said Sarah Ann Sanchez
(then Sarah Ann Houck) in the year 1841* and recorded in the Office of
the Clerk or Register of the County of Alachua in the said State of Florida
and I do hereby fully authorize and empower my said attorney to execute
all necessary papers for the letting and hiring of the said Negroes, and
to collect and receive all monies now due or hereafter to become due for the
labor and service and to take all legal ways and means for the recovery
thereof; if payment of the same, or of any part thereof shall be rented and
on such receipt and recovery as aforesaid, to execute and deliver all proper
acquittance and acknowledgements in the premises.
     And I do further make, constitute and appoint the said Robert G. Livingston
my true and lawful attorney, for me, and in my name place and stead
to ask, demand, sue for recover, and receive, all in trusts claims, dower, and
rights of dower, which I can or may have in to or against the Estate of the
said Francis R. Sanchez, deceased, late of San Palacka as aforesaid; to institute
and prosecute all necessary suits and take all lawful ways and means for
the recovery thereof; to compromise, confirm and agree for the same; And
upon each receipt, recovery, compromise, com*****, or agreement to
execute and deliver sufficient discharges thereof,
And I do hereby give and grant to my said attorney, full power of substitution
and revocation, deed ample and complete authority to do and perform
all and every act and thing whatsoever requested and necessary to be done in
and about the premises above recited, as fully to all interests and purposes
as I might or could do if personally present, hereby ratifying and confirm-
ing all that my said attorney or his substitute shall lawfully do, or cause
to be done by virtue thereof.
