State of Florida
Levy County          Know all men by these presents, That whereas
Charles & Bernard M. Byrne hath heretofore failed to pay certain
costs and charges which accrered upon the levying upon and ad-
vertising of certain tracts of land belonging to the said Charles and
Bernard M. Byrne Situate & lying in the County of Levy Known
and described as follows- NW 1/4 of S.W. 1/4 Sec (18) Eighteen, Town
Ship (11) Range (14) fourteen also the SW 1/4 of S.W. 1/4 Sec (18)
eighteen, Township (11) Range (14) fourteen- said land having
been heretofore levied upon, and advertised by William D.
Andrews Sheriff & Ex officio Tax collector of said County in
consequence of the failure of the said Charles & Bernard M. Byrne
to pay their taxes due on them to the State of Florida for the year
one thousand eight hundred & forty five (1845), And whereas I
the said William D. Andrews Sheriff as aforesaid heretofore levied
upon and advertised the said land for sale in the manner
prescribed by law and on the fifth day of October AD
1846 in said County offered the said land for sale at public
outcry for the purpose of satisfying said cost, and charges
and whereas it was necessary to offer the proportion of
land hereinafter described to wit N.W. 1/4 of S.W. 1/4 Sec (18)
T (11) R 14 fourteen also S.W. 1/4 of N.W. 1/4 Sec 18 T 11 R 14
and whereas H. Lancaster was the highest bidder upon
and purchaser of said last mentioned and described tracts
or portions of land & the only person who bid a sufficiency
of money therefore to satisfy said costs & charges (viz) for
the first described portion the sum of four dollars
for the said last described the sum of five dollars
