State of Florida      Know all men by these presents that whereas
Levy County            Charles and Bernard M. Byrne hath heretofore fail-
ed to pay certain costs and charges which accrued upon the buy-
ing upon and advertisement of cetain tracts of land belonging to 
the said Charles and Bernard M. Byrne situate and being in
the county of Levy known & described as follows:   N.W. 1/4 of NW 1/4 
Sec (18) eighteen Township (11) eleven Range (14) fourteen also 
the SW 1/4 of NW 1/4 Sec (18) eighteen Township (11)Range (14)
fourteen of said land having been heretofore levied upon and
advertised by me William D. Andrews Sheriff and sp* officio
Tax Collector of said county in consequence of the failure of
the said Charle & Bernard M Byrne to pay the taxes due on 
them to the State of Florida for the year one thousand eight
hundred & forty five (1845).  And whereas I the said William d.
Andrews Sheriff as aforesaid heretofore levied upon and adver-
tised the said land land for sale in the manner prescri-
bed by law, and on the fifth day of October AD 1846 in said county 
offered the said land for sale at public outcry for
the purpose of satisfying said costs and charges; and whereas it
was necessary to offer the proportion and quantity of land
hereinafter described, to wit, N.W. 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Sec (18) eighteen
Township (11) eleven Range (18) eighteen, also the SW 1/4 of NW 1/4
Sec (18) Township (11) range (14) and whereas Thomas Weeks
was the highest bidder upon and purchaser of said last men-
tioned and described tracts or portions of land and the only per-
son who bid a sufficient amount of money therefore to satisfy
said costs & charges for the first described the sum of three
dols & fifty cents and the last described the sum of five dollars
And know ye that I William D. Andrews Sheriff as aforesaid 
in consideeration of the sum of eight dollars & fifty cents to
one in hand paid by said Thomas Weeks this being the amount
of said costas and charges. Have granted bargained sold
and conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain sell
& convey unto Thomas Weeks his heirs and assigns all 
the right titles and interests of Charles & Bernard M. Byrne to re-
deem said last menioned and described tracts of land
according to the Statutes in such case made and promised
And I the said William D. Andrews Sheriff & as
aforesaid do hereby covenant with the said Thomas
Weeks his hiers and assigns that in the sale of said
