(1845). And whereas I the said William D. Andrews Sheriff
and as aforesaid heretofore levied upon and advertised the
said land for sale in the manner prescribed by law; and
on the fifth day of October AD 1846 as said County offered
the said land for sale in public outcry for the purpose
of satisfying said costs & charges; And whereas it was necessary
to offer the proportion and quantity of land hereinafter de-
scribed, to wit, the N.W. 1/4 of S.W. 1/4 of Sec 19, T 11 R 14 also
S.W. 1/4 of S.W. 1/4 of Sec 19 T 11 R 14, and whereas H. Lancaster was
the highest bidder upon & purchaser of said last mentioned & de-
scribed parcels of Land bidding for the first described portion
or parcel the sum of Four Dollars & fifty cents & for the last de-
scribed portion or parcel the sum of one dollar & twenty five
cents.
Now Know ye that I William D. Andrew Sheriff and as
aforesaid in consideration of the sum of Five dollars
& seventy five cents to me paid by said H. Lancaster
Have granted bargained & sold & by these presents do grant
bargain sell & convey into H. Lancaster his heirs assigns
all the right title & interest of Charles & Bernard
M. Byrne in and to the said land with appurtenances
thereunto belonging, Subject nevertheless to the right
of the said Charles & Bernard M. Byrne to redeem
said last mentioned & described tracts of land according
to the Statute made & provided.
And I the said William D. Andrews Sheriff & as aforesaid
do hereby covenant with the said H. Lancaster
his heirs and assigns that in the Sale of said
lands I have complied with & observed all the rules
& directions of law for making Sale in such cases
Witness my hand & Seal this Twenty Seventh day of
October AD 1846
