This indenture made this twenty sixth day of December in
the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty two
Between Isaiah D. Hart of the Town of Jacksonville in Duval
County and Territory of Florida of the first part, and Orian**
R. Hart of the same place of the Second part Witnesseth that
the said party of the Second part for and in consideration of the
Sum of three hundred and thirty dollars good and lawful money
to him in hand paid by the party of the second part at and
before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened,
remised, released, conveyed, and confirmed, and do by these presents
grant, bargain, sell, alien, remise, release, convey and confirm
unto him the said party of the Second part and to
his assigns all that certain lot or parcel of land Situated
lying and being in said Town of Jacksonville and Known and
described in the plan or plat of said Town as lot number
four (No 4) in Square number eleven (No 11) and containing
one hundred and five feet each way, and bounded as follows
to wit; on the North by Adams Street, on the East by lot
Number five (No 5) on the South by lot Number one (No 1)
all in said Square, and on the west Ocean Street.
And also one Negro woman slave named Susan aged about
twenty four years, and her two children, are named Henry age
two years, and the other an infant at the breast not yet two
weeks old. To have and to hold the above granted, bargained,
and described premises or lot of Land, and all and the tenements
hereditaments, and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any
wise appertaining, together with the above mentioned Negro
Slaves, and all the increase of the aforesaid Negro woman Slave
Susan, and all the rents, issues, profits and income whatsoever
from the same arising unto him the said party of the second part
and to his assigns forever. |
