Personally appeared before me this 5th day of
May A.D. 1848 Thomas C. Ellis Sheriff of Alachua County also
hath executed the above Deed & acknowledged that he had
executed the same for the purposes therein set forth

Made this twenty second day of November one thousand
Eight hundred and forty five between George M. Galpin
of the Town of Newnansville of the one part, and John
T. Shekell of Duval State of Florida of the second part
witnesseth that whereas by an order of the County Court
of Alachua County made in pursuance of an act of the
Legislative Council of the Territory of Florida, it is ordered
that the Town Commissioner make and
deliver deeds of conveyance to the purchaser or purchasers
of Town lots in said Town of Newnansville and
whereas George M. Galpin has become the purchaser of
Town lots hereafter mentioned and set forth Now ye that
the said George M. Galpin for and in consideration of the
Sum of seven dollars and fifty lawful money in hand paid
at or before the Sealing and delivery thereof, the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained and
Sold, and by these presents doth grant bargain and Sell
unto the said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns
forever all those two lots pieces or parcels of land, each
containing one half acre, situate lying and being in the
Town of Newnansville, County of Alachua State of Florida
Known as lots seven and Eight of Block no (2)
Range No (1) containing one acre together with all
and Singular the Tenements thereto belonging to have
and to hold the Same unto the Said George M. Galpin
his heirs and assigns as fully and absolutely as I the
said John T. Shekell as aforesaid might
could or aught to Sell or convey |
