Clerk of the Circuit court of the Counties of
Alachua & Levy Thos. D. Wittier who being duly
Sworn says that saw John T. Shekell Sign the foregoing
instrument of writing for the purposes therein expressed
and that he signed the Same in the presence of the
other Subscribing witness this 10th day of May AD 1848

     In Inventory of Slaves and other property showing their
names & belonging to Mrs Eliza D. Payne, formerly of Buckingham
County Virginia, and now of Alachua County Florida which
are held for the exclusive benefit of said E.D*. Payne by Geo.
M. Payne and other trustees, viz; Edy, Billy, Frank, Solomon,
Anna, Sopha, Emily, China, Brunnell, Charles, Alick. Lucy, Albert
Beccy, Martin, Tom, Frank Jnr. Washington, Martha, Lindy,
Susan, Henry, John William, Dick, Amos Jnr, Tom Jnr,
Squire, John & London, with their increase and annual profits,
also stock of mules, horses, cattle, plantation furniture & C

                                                     June 5th 1848

Florida Alachua County ss.
          Personally appeared before me a justice of the
Peace for the State and county aforesaid Geo.M. Payne
who declares the foregoing to be a true Inventory of the
property in the State and county aforesaid held by himself and
others as trustees for Mrs. Eliza D. Payne, signed and acknowl-
edged before me this 8th day of June 1848.
