This Indenture made this Thirty first day of
May in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight and forty Eight
between William B. Hart and Mary Ann Hart his wife of the
County of Alachua and State of Florida of the first part, and
Horace Merry of the County and State aforesaid of the Second
part Witnesseth, that the party of the first part for, and
in consideration of the Sum of four hundred dollars to them
in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted,
bargained, Sold, and Conveyed, and by these Presents doth grant,
bargain, Sell, and convey, unto the Party of the Second Part, his
heirs and assigns, all those certain tracts or parcels of land, Situate
lying and being in the county of Marion, and State aforesaid,
and described in the United States Surveys, as follows to wit;
"Lot number two of fractional Section twenty four, in
Township Twelve, South of Range twenty East, in the
district of Land Subject to sale at Newnansville Florida,
containing forty Eight- acres and thirty Eight hundredths of an
acre," which Said lot of land was conveyed to the Said William
B. Hart by the United States by letters patent, bearing date
the first day of July, A.D. 1847. And the west half of the
North East quarter of Section Twenty five, in Township twelve
South of Range Twenty East, in the district of lands subject
to Sale at Newnansville Florida, containing seventy nine acres,
and Sixty four hundredths of an acre, which Said lot
of land was conveyed to the said William B. Hart by the
United States by letters patent bearing date the twelfth day
of October A.D. 1857. To have and to hold Said above named
and described lots of land unto the Said Party of the Second part,
his heirs and assigns in fee Simple forever,
And the said party of the first part doth hereby covenant
and agree with the party of the Second Part that he is the
legal and bonafide owner of the tracts or lots of land herein
named and described the title to which he hereby binds him-
self his heirs executors or administrators to warrant and forever
defend unto the Party of Second Part his heirs and assigns against
the claim of themselves and their heirs, and against the
claims of all other Persons whatever.
In witness whereof the said parties of the first part hath
