This Indenture, made this first day of May, one thousand eight
hundred and forty eight, between John Jos Sanchez, Commissioner 
of the Town of Newnansville of the one part, and Elias Petit
of the Town of Newnansville Alachua County State of Florida
of the second part, Witness that whereas by an order the County
Court of Alachua County, made in Pursuance of an act of the
Legislative Council of the Territory of Florida, it is ordered that
the Town Commissioners make and deliver deeds of conveyance to the
purchasers of town lots in said Town of Newnansville, and wheras
Elias Petit has become the purchaser of town lots hereinafter mentioned
and set forth. Now know ye that the said John Jos Sanchez 
Commissioner of aforesaid by virtue of the authority do as aforesaid
in me vested in consideration of the sum of fifty one dollars and
fifty cents lawful money of the United States of America in
hand paid at or before the sealing and delivering thereof,
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained,
and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, and sell, unto
the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, all
those three certain lots, pieces or parcels of land each containing
one half acre, situate lying and being in the Town of
Newnansville County of Alachua State of Florida, known on a
certain map or plat of said Town of Newnanasville, as lots number
Eleven (11) Twelve (12) Thirteen (13) of North half range, together
with all and singular, the tenements and appurtenances there-
unto belonging in wise appurtioning, unto the said Elias
Petit his heirs and assigns as fully and absolutely as I the said John
Jos Sanchez, Commissioner of aforesaid, might could or ought to
sell or convey the same.
             In witness whereof I the said commissioner
have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of May
one thousand and eight hundred and forty eight
