I, Moses B. Maclay, residing in the City of New York, a
Commissioner in Said State, to take depositions, Affidavits,
Acknowledgments of Deeds, powers of Attorney, &c &c, to be used
or recorded in the State of Florida, duly commissioned under the laws
thereof, and qualified, Do Hereby Certify, and make known, that
on this twenty first day of March in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and fifty five before me personally
appeared James Suydam, & Charlotte A. Suydam his wife known
to me to be the individuals described in, and who executed the
annexed conveyance, and Severally acknowledged that they Signed, Sealed
and delivered the Same as & for their &*** their own free act and Deed, and
the Said Charlotte A. Suydam further acknowledged to me in an private
examination Separate and apart from her Husband, that She Signed
Sealed and delivered Said Conveyance freely and without any fear, threat
or compulsion of her Husband
              In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto Subscribed my
              name, and affixed my Seal of Office this 21st day of March
              one thousand eight hundred and fifty five at my Office

       This Indenture made the Seventeenth day of February
in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty five, Between
Aaron Peck of Newark in the State of New Jersey, one of the
United States of America, and Miranda Peck his wife, of the
one part, and Henry G. Marquand of the City of New York,
County and State of New York of the other part, Witnesseth,
that the Said Aaron Peck for and in and in consideration of the
Sum of one thousand dollars of lawful money, in hand paid,
at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained,
Sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents doth
grant, bargain, Sell, alien, Convey and confirm, unto the
Said Henry G. Marquand, his heirs and assigns, All those certain
tract or parcels of land, Situate lying and being in the County
of Alachua, in the State of Florida, being, to wit, Section
Number thirteen (13) in Township number eleven (11) in Range
twenty one (21) containing Six hundred and forty three and fifty one
one hundredths acres, also section Number one (1) in Township
