known and acknowledged that the executed the foregoing Indenture
for the purposes therein set forth, and Benjamin W. Powell
acknowledged the execution of the same by him

Alachua County } This Indenture made the second day
of April in the year of Lord one thousand eight hundred and
fifty five and in the seventy ninth year of the Independence of
the United States of America, Between Reuben S. Stoughton of
the Town of Micanopy of the one part, and John T. McInstosh
of the said Town of the other part. Witnesseth, that the said
Reuben S. Stoughton, for and in consideration of the sum of one
hundred and sixteen dollars & seven cents to him in hand paid at and
before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened,
conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents doth grant,
bargain, sell, alien, convey and confirm unto the said John
T. McIntosh, his heirs and assigns, all that certain messuage
being and situated in the Town of Micanopy & State aforesaid
commencing at the south west corner of the Town lot
conveyed this day by R.S. Stoughton to B.W. Powell, and
running with the western line of said lot North two hundred
and ten feet and from thence West ninety seven and 1/2 feet to
a street, and from thence South two hundred and ten feet to
the junction of said street and Newnansville street, and
from thence East ninety seven and 1/2 feet on the North line
of said Newnansville street to the beginning. And the said granter
hereby conveys the same, and the said John T. McIntosh
receives the same on the following conditions (viz) the said
grantee and his assigns in perpetuity shall not vend upon said
premises any ardent spirit in quantities less than one quart
and they agree that on the forfeiture of said condition
said premises shall revert to said granter and his heirs. To have
