This Indenture made the twenty first day of
April in the year eighteen hundred and fifty five,
Between George R. Fairbanks of the City of St. Augustine
Florida party of the first part, and Thomas Whitaker
Senr of Camden Kershaw Dist SC party of the 
second Witnesseth, that the said party of the first
part in consideration of the sum of five hundred
and fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said
party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, hath granted, bargained & sold, and
by these presents, do grant, bargain, and sell to the
said party of the second part, his heirs & assigns
forever all that certain tract or parcel of land situate
in Alachua County & State of Florida, being part
and parcel of the Arredondo Grant So call and
designated and described on the map of said grant
made by Messrs Burr and Washington in 1846, as
Section number thirty five in Township number ten
of Range eighteen containing six hundred and twenty four
12/100 acres more or less, being parcel of the premises
conveyed by the legal representatives of John Rogers &
Thompson Price to said party of the first part
and purchased in the name of said John Rogers
& Thompson Price, at the sale of the Arredondo Grant
in February 1849, To have and to hold the said 
premises to the said party of the second part, his
heirs and assigns forever, and the said party of the
first part, doth hereby for himself, his heirs, Execu=
=tors, and administrators, covenant to and with the
said party of the second part, that at the date hereof
he is seized of the said premises in fee simple, that
the same are free from all incumbrances, and that
he will warrant and forever defend the same to
the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns
against all and every person lawfully claiming or
to claim the same
