Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents
that George Leitner of the State of South Carolina
and District of Fairfield, in the consideration of the
Sum of twenty eight thousand dollars with unto
interest from date herein after mentioned to him in
hand paid, hath bargained, Sold and delivered, and
by these presents doth bargain, Sell and in plain
and a free market, deliver unto Daniel Scott and
Daniel D. Fenly the following property, to wit: one
Negro man Slave named George about forty years of age,
and Mary his wife about 25 years of age, and her child
about two years old, little George nine years, and and
Nance Seven years old, Pressly twenty nine years,
Mary his wife twenty years and Anderson her child
two years old, Jane about five years old, Wentward
about forty six years old, and Fanny his wife about
forty years old, Daniel forty, and Maria his wife about forty
years old, and her child Fanny three years old, little
Daniel fifteen years, Sam nine, and Tery five years old,
and Charlotte about nineteen, Harriet twenty eight, and
her infant, and Eliza three years old, Cupid Sixty, John
twenty and, Amos nineteen, Martha Seventeen, Isaac fifteen
years old, Simon about forty Eight, and Rebecca his wife
thirty years old, Lewis forty, and Sallie his wife thirty eight
years old, Dave twenty two, Ned twenty, and John Sixteen
years old, and Amanda nine years old, Ellen twenty Six,
Nelson eight, and Henry five years old, Dick three years old,
Peter forty five, Caroline his wife thirty five years old,
Safa forty years old, Nathan twenty three, Turner twenty
one, and Wessly eighteen years old, Adeline fifteen years old,
Mary and her child Seven months old, Antony forty five,
Jad twenty eight, Bob twenty four, and Telda eighteen
years old Alick forty four Andrew twenty two, and
Tom twenty three years old, To have and to hold all
and Singular, the Said Negroes; together with their future
issue and increase unto the Said Daniel Scott and
Daniel D. Fenly of the State of South Carolina Fairfield
District, their Executors, Administrators and assigns
forever, provided nevertheless, and it is expressly agreed
between the parties, that if the Said Georg Leitner, his
Executors, Administrators or assigns, Shall well and truly
pay or cause to be paid unto the aforesaid Daniel Scott
and Daniel D. Fenly, their certain Attornies, Executors,
administrators or assigns, the following notes, Executions &c
for the payment of which Said Daniel Scott and Daniel
D. Fenly are bond bound as Sureties of Said George Leitner
to wit, and payment for two thousand dollars in favor
of the Commercial Bank - Columbia confession given
in August or Sept 1854 with a credit $3000 or $3500
also Judgment in favor of the Branch Bank of the State
at Columbia
