This Indenture made this 19th day of May 1854
Between Levi J. Johns of Alachua County of the one
part, And A.H. Johns of Columbia County, both of
the State of Florida, whereas the said L.J. Johns in
and by a certain obligation or writing obligatory under his hand
and seal bearing even date herewith stands bound unto
the said A.H. Johns in the sum of forty dollars conditioned
for the payments of forty dollars on the first day of July
next ensuing the date hereof with lawful interest for the
same, as in and by the said recited obligation, and condition
                                              and 
thereof, relation being thereunto had more full^at large
appears, Now this Indenture Witnesseth, that the said
L.J. Johns as well for and in consideration of the aforesaid
debt of sum of forty dollars, and for the better securing the
payments thereof with its interest, unto the said A.H. Johns,
his Executors, administrators and assigns in discharge of the
said recited obligatory as of the further sum of forty dollars
to him in hand payed by the said A.H. Johns at and before
the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold released and
confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell,
release, and confirm unto the said A.H. Johns, his heirs and 
assigns, all that land where I now live. To have and to
hold the said above mentioned land, hereditaments and
premises here granted, or mentioned, or intended so to be
with the appurtenances, unto the said A.H. Johns
his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof
of the said A.H. Johns, his heirs and assigns forever.
Provided, always nevertheless, that if the said L.J. Johns
his heirs Executors or administrators shall and do well
and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said A.H. Johns
his Executors, administrators or assigns, the aforesaid debt
or sum of forty dollars on the first day of July 1855
thereof with lawful interest for the same according to
the conditions of the said recited obligation, without any
fraud or further delay, and without any deduction to be
made of any thing for, or in respect of any taxes, charges,
or assessments whatsoever, Now and from thence forth
as well this present Indenture, and the estate hereby
granted; as the said recited obligation, shall cease,
determine and become absolutely null and void, to
all intents and purposes, any thing herein before
contained to the contrary in any wise not withstanding
this May the 19th 1854
