  Know all men by these presents, that I George
Branning, for and in consideration of the natural love
and affection which I have to my niece Amanda M.
Coker, wife of J.B. Coker of Newnansville in
the County of Alachua and State of Florida, and
also for and in consideration of the Sum of five hundred
and fifty dollars, lawful money to me in hand paid by
William M. Ledwith, at and before the ensealing and
delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof I do hereby
acknowledge, have bargained and Sold, and by these
presents do bargain, Sell and deliver to the Said
William M. Ledwith, and to his Executors Administrators
and assigns, A certain Negro Slave named Catharine
with her future issue and increase. To have and
to hold the Said Slave with her future increase,
unto the Said William M. Ledwith, his Executors admin=
-istrators and assigns, to his and their own proper use,
benefit and behoof forever. In trust nevertheless,
to and for the use of the Said Amanda M. Coker wife
of the Said J.B. Coker, for and during the term of her
natural life, and after her death, in trust for Such child
or children of the Said Amanda M. as may be living at
her death, and the heirs of the Said child or children, And
in case no child or children of the Said Amanda M. Shall
Survive her, then the Said Slave and her increase to vest
in the Said William M. Ledwith, and to be, and become his
absolute property both in law and Equity.
  In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand
and Seal this twenty first day of July in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five.

the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
fifty five, before me a Justice of the peace in and
for Said County and State, personally appeared George
Branning grantor in the within Deed named, to me well
known, and acknowledged that he executed the Same
as his free act and deed, and desired that the Same may be
recorded as Such
