                   This Indenture made this
21st day of september A.D. 1855.  Between Thomas
C. Love of the first, and Mary Ann Slade
of the Second part, all of said County and State
Witnesseth, that for and in consideration of the Sum
of fifteen dollars to the said party of the first part,
paid by the party of the Second part, the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained granted, Sold,
conveyed and confirmed with the said party of the Second
part, a certain lot or parcel of land Situate
lying and being in the County and State aforesaid
******** is the extreme South East corner of the East
half, of the West half of the North East Quarter
of Section Eleven (11) Township (8) eight Range (18)
Eighteen, containing one fourth of an acre, more or less
and hundred and fifteen feet East and west, by Seventy
Six feet North & South, bounded as follows, West by
lands belonging to Thomas C. Love, North by lands of
Thomas C. Love, and Hesther Valentine a free
person of color, East by David G. Ridought, South by
Frederick S. Roux, To have and to hold the Said 
bargained premises with the appurtenances, unto
her the said party of the Second part, her Executors,
Administrators and assigns forever in fee Simple, and
I promise and agree to warrant and forever defend the
Said bargained and granted premises unto her the 
Said Mary Ann Slade, her heirs and assigns for
ever.        Given under my hand and Seal day & year
above written

  Before the Subscriber Clerk of the Circuit Court
of Alachua County Eastern Circuit of Florida,
personally came Thos C. Love the grantor of the
foregoing Deed, and acknowledged that he had executed
the same for the purposes therein mentioned.
