sealing and delivery of these presents, do hereby renounce 
release, relinquish and forever quit claim unto the said
Swepson Whitehead, his heirs and assigns, all my right, claim
and Equity of Dower in and to the premises by said Deed conveyed
as fully and absolutely as I might or could do the same.

  I hereby certify that the above relinquishment of Dower
was made by Martha R. Rawls, in my presence, separate and
apart from her Husband John G. Rawls, and that she declared
that the same was made freely and voluntarily on her part.

  Before the subscriber Clerk of the Circuit Court
of Alachua County Eastern Circuit of Florida, personally
came John G. Rawls and Martha R. his wife both to
me well known, and acknowledged that they had executed the
foregoing Deed for the purposes therein specified, and consented
for the same to be placed upon record

  This Indenture made the fourteenth day of September
A.D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty five, Between
Lemuel L. Watson of the County of Alachua and State of
Florida, and Sarah E. his wife, parties of the first part,
and William E. Purvis of Dooly County State of Georgia
party of the second part, Witnesseth that the said parties
of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of
six hundred and forty dollars to them in hand paid by
the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged, have bargained, sold, aliened and 
conveyed, and do by these presents bargain, sell, alien,
and convey unto the said party of the second part, his heirs
and assigns, the following described tract of land, lying
and being situated in the County of Alachua and State
of Florida, described as follows, the North west quarter
of Section sixteen, Township ten, Range nineteen,
together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging,
or in any wise appertaining and also all right, title
interest, Dower & right of Dower claim or demand what
=soever of the said parties of the first part of, in or to
the above described premises. To have and to hold all
and singular the above mentioned and described premises
