State of Florida } This Indenture made the 18th day
Alachua County   }
of March 1855, Between R.S. Stoughton of Micanopy
of the one part, & Jerrimiah Gamage of the other part
Witnesseth, that the said R.S. Stoughton for the sum
of fifty dollars to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, Sold, conveyed
and confirmed, & by these presents doth grant, bargain,
Sell, convey and confirm, unto said Jerrimiah Gamage
his heirs and assigns, two acres of land more or less, bounded
                                 west 
as follows beginning at the North of corner of a lot,
occupied by Wm M. Knox, and running North 105 feet, running
East from thence 858 feet, thence running South 105 feet, thence
running West 858 feet, to the point of beginning, Said
granter conveys Said lot, & Said Jerrimiah Gamage receives
Said lot on the following conditions to wit, that is the Say,
Said grantee his heirs & assigns in perpetuity, Shall not
vend upon Said premises any ardent Spirits in less quantities
than one quart & he agrees that on forfeiture of Said con=
=dition Said premises Shall revert to Said granter & his heirs,
To Have and to hold Said premises, with all the rights
and appurtenances thereunto belonging, and Said granter
his heirs and assigns, do covenant with Said Jerrimiah
Gamage his heirs & assigns, that he is lawfully Seized in
fee Simple of the aforesaid premises, and that he, his heirs
& assigns, will warrant & defend the Same, subject to the
above conditions unto the Said Jerrimiah Gamage.
   In Witness whereof, the Said parties have Severally hereunto

I Elizabeth Stoughton, wife of R.S. Stoughton,
do hereby relinquish my right of Dower in the lot of land
conveyed by the foregoing Indenture by R.S. Stoughton to
Jerremiah Gamage, as witness my hand.

   Know all men by these presents that I Elizabeth
Stoughton wife of the above R.S. Stoughton, do hereby
acknowledge that the above relinquishment of Dower
was made by me, freely, voluntarily and without any compul
=sion, constraint, or fear of, or from Said Husband
