          of March 1855 R.S. Stoughton to me well known who
          acknowledges that he executed the above instrument for the
          purposes therein set forth, and Jerremiah Gamage acknowledges
          the execution of the same by him

          Alachua County   ) Know all men by these presents that
          Jerremiah Gamage of the town of Micanopy State and County
          aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars
          to me in hand paid by John T. McIntosh and Benjamin
          W. Powell  Merchants under the style and firm of
          McIntosh & Powell of said Town, the receipt whereof
          I do hereby acknowledge, do hereby give grant, sell,
          and convey to the said McIntosh & Powell their heirs and
          assigns a certain tract of or parcel of land situated in the
          said Town of Micanopy on the East side of the Public Square
          oposite to the Carolina House, owned and occupied by R.S.
          Stoughton beginning at the North west corner of a certain
          tract of land conveyed by R.S. Stoughton to J. Gamage on
          the 18th of May 1855, and running south thirty five
          feet on the public square line and then East one hundred feet
          then north thirty five feet to the line dividing said Stoughton
          and Gamage and then west one hundred feet to the begining
          point including the Store House thereon now occupied
          by McIntosh and Powell, Said grantor conveys and
          said McIntosh and Powell receives said lot on the
          following conditions to wit; said grantees their heirs
          and assigns, in perpertuity shall not vend upon said prem-
          ises any ardent spirits in less quantities than an quart
          and they agree that on forfeiture of said conditions said
          premises shall revert to said grantor and his heirs
          to have and to hold the same unto the said McIntosh
          & Powell their heirs and assigns to their use and behoof
          forever and I do covenant with the said McIntosh
          & Powell , their heirs and assigns that I am lawfully
          Seized in fee of the premises that they are free of all
          incumberances, and that I will warrant and defend
          the same to the said McIntosh & Powell, their heirs
          and assigns for ever against the lawful claims and demands
