and demands of all persons

Peace in and for the said county personally came J.T.
Stanfill and Susan Stanfill to me well Known and ac-
knowledged that they executed the aforementioned deed
for the purpose therein mention. In token whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal this May 5, 1855

Alachua County        Know all men, That Stephen L.
Nostrand and Emily A. Nostrand his wife of the County
and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the
sum of three hundred and fifty dollars ($350) to them
paid by James C. Standly of the same County and State
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant
bargain sell and convey to the said James C. Standly
his heirs and assigns forever the following described
tract of land, to wit, the N 1/2 of Lot No four (4) of Sec-
tion No thirty-five (35) in Township No eight (8) south of
Range No eighteen (18) East containing thirty eight and
eighty hundredths (38 80/100) acres as per returns made by
U.S. surveys to the land office at Newnansville Florida
together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the
same belonging or in any wise appertaining
To have and to hold the same to the said James C.
Standly his heirs and assigns forever, The grantors hereby
covenanting with the grantee his heirs and assigns that
the title so conveyed is clear free and unencumbered and
that they will warrant and forever defend the same
against all claims whatsoever
                 In witness whereof the said Stephen
L. Nostrand and his wife Emily A. have hereunto set
their hand and seals this 16th day of November in the
