Alachua County   } This Indenture made this Eleventh day of 
February in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty
four between Samuel Boykin of Alachua County and State of Florida
and Robert A. Child of the said County and State - Whereas
the said Samuel Boykin of the County of Alachua and State
of Florida of the first part and Robert A. Child is indebted to
                                 several
the said Robert A. Child on two certain promissory notes, payable
respectively on the twenty sixth day of January one thousand eight
hundred and fifty five and one thousand eight hundred
and fifty six, and bearing date the twenty sixth day of Janu
ary one thousand eight hundred and fifth three each of the
said notes being for the sum of Three thousand eight hundred
               & 33/100
and thirty three^dollars, with lawful interest from the date
of the same, as in and by the said several promissory notes
reference being thereto had, will more fully appear and at
large appear. Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said
Samuel Boykin as well for and in consideration of the aforesaid
debt or sum of seven thousand six hundred and sixty six
66/100 dollars in the said two promissory notes, due and payable, and for
the better securing the payments thereof with its interest unto the
said Robert A. Child, his Heirs, Executors or assigns in discharge
of the afore mentioned notes, as well as of the sum of the further
sum of one dollar to him in hand paid by the said Robert A.
Child, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, Hath gran-
ted bargained, sold and conveyed, and by these presents
doth sell bargain release and convey unto the said Robert

A. Child his heirs or assigns, all that tract of land situate
in the County and State aforesaid and described as follows
(VJL) Beginning at a corner on the East & W South
boundary line of section 31 T 11 R 21 of the Arredondo Grant
which corner is established, between C.B. Jones and Sam-
uel Boykin on said line of said section and running
west on sd line to the SW corner of sd section, thence on the
N & S west boundary line of sd section to the half mile post
Thence West on the line dividing equally section 36 T 11 R 20
of the aforesaid grant to a Stake in the prairie on
the N & S west line of said section, thence North on said line
N & S west line to a corner stake in the prairie established be-
tween the aforesaid Robert A. Child and Samuel Boykin thence
East fifty poles to a stake in the prairie, Thence north to a
stake on the North side of the prairie Sixty four poles, thence
west to another stake and corner twenty three poles, thence

North one hundred and forty eight^poles to a corner post
thence west twenty seven poles to the west N & S line of section
                         Arredondo
25 T 11 R 20 of the aforesaid^Grant, to another corner stake
in said line (the above lines were run with 5° variation) thence
to the NW corner of said section, thence west on the North line
of said section to a corner stake established between Horace
Merry and Robert A. Child, thence south to a corner
stake in the prairie on the dividing line between sd
section 25 and 36 established between Horace Merry and
James A. Turner thence West on said line to the corner
