          Alachua County   ) This Indenture made on the       day of 
          December in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hun-
          dred and fifty three, between Horace Merry of the first part
          of the State and County aforesaid, and Robert A. Child of the 
          second part of the State and County aforesaid, Witnessesseth
          that the said Horace Merry for and in consideration
          of the sum of Sixty nine dollars to him in hand paid
          the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath bar-
          gained sold and conveyed, and by these presents doth
          bargain, sell, release and convey and confirm unto
          the said Robert A. Child, his heirs and assigns a certain
          piece, parcel or tract of land, lyimg and being in the 
          County of Alachua and State aforesaid of Florida, and
          supposed by estimation to contain ninety two acres
          more or less and described as follows, viz, Begining
          at a stake which is the Corner between a lot of land be-
          longing to the sd Robert A. Child, and this said lot near the
          house of Mrs Duskins, running North parallel with the North
          and South line of section in which the said land is con-
          tained, to the North line of said Section, thence west to the
          N. West corner of the Same section, thence South to the Cor-
          of the land of the Robert A. Child, in the same section, thence
          East to the place of beginning, the whole forming a par-
          allelogram: and part and parcel of Sec 25 T11 R20 of the
          Arredonda Grant;  To have and to hold the afore-
          said parcel of land with all and singular the rights
          members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the said
          premises being belonging or in any wise appertaining
          thereunto, and the remainder or remainders, revisions,
          rents and profits thereof to the only proper use of the
          aforesaid Robert A. Child his heirs and assigns, in
          fee simple forever:  And the said Horace Merry for
          himself his heirs and assigns shall forever warrant
          and defend the right and title of the Said Robert A. Child
          against the claim or claims of all other persons what
          soever claiming any part of the aforesaid discribed
          tract of land in, by, through or under him.

          part hath set his hand and seal the day and date first
