Know all men by these presents that I Elizabeth June the wife
of James T. Thomas esq the grantor of the foregoing deed for the
conveyance of real estate for and in consideration in the premises
in said deed recited and in further consideration of the sum
of one dollar to me paid by James B. Bailey esq the receipt
whereof before the sealing and delivery of these presents in here
by acknowledged do renounce release and relinquish unto the said
James B. Bailey esq all my right claim and equity of dower in
and to the premises by said deed conveyed as full and absolutely
as I might or could in any way do the same

This Indenture made the twenty fourth day of October in the year
one thousand eight hundred and fifty three between Henry G. Marquand
ad Elizabeth Love his wife parties of the first part and Mathew
B. Hawkins of Alachua County Florida of the second part;
Witnesseth that the said party of the first part in consideration
of the sum of six hundred and forty dollars to them duly paid
before the delivery hereof have bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant and convey to the said party of the second part
his heirs and assigns forever all that certain tract or parcel
of land situate in the County of Alachua and State of Florida
being part and parcel of the Arredondo Grant and known and
designated on the map of the same made by Messrs Burr & Washington
Commissioners of the said grant in the year 1846 as section number
twenty three of Township number nine and Range number eight
een containing six hundred & forty acres with the appurtenances
and all the estate title and interest of the said parties of the first
therein and the said parties of the first part do hereby covenant
and agree with the said party of the second part that at the time
of the delivery hereof the said parties of the first part were the |
