in presence of each other witnessed the due execution thereof

Alachua County } To wit This Indenture made and entered into
on this the tenth day of December in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and fifty five between John Lewis
of the County of Alachua and State of Florida party of the first part
and William B. Lewis of the same County and State party of the
second part witnesseth that the said John Lewis party of the
first part for and in consideration of the sun of fifteen thou-
sand dollars ($15000) good and lawful money of the United
States to him in hand well and truly paid by the said
William R. Lewis party of the second part the receipt whereof
he the said John Lewis doth hereby acknowledge hath granted
bargained sold aliened transfered conveyed and confirmed and
doth by these presents grant bargain sell alien transfer con-
vey and confirm unto the said William B. Lewis party of the
second part his heirs and assigns all that certain lot tract
or parcel of land lying being and situate in the said County
of Alachua and State of Florida and known and described
on the survey of the Arredondo Grant as section fifteen of Town-
ship ten in Range twenty and section number twenty one of
Township ten in range twenty containing twelve hundred and
eighty acres more or less; with the exception following to wit;
a pass way twenty feet wide at the junction corner of sections
fifteen and twenty and over section twenty three and a pass way
twenty feet wide along the eastern line of section fifteen of Town-
ship ten and Range twenty; and with these only exceptions
houses
all the messuages buildings^outhouses fences gardens and all
the trees woods, under woods, ways privileges rights and her-
editaments thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and
all the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders vested
and contingent rents issues and proffits of the same and every
part and parcel thereof and all and singular each and every
the appurtenances appendant or in gross to the said lands messua-
ges and tenements in any manner appertaining or belonging
To have and to hold the same and every part and parcel thereof
with the exceptions before mentioned to the said William B. Lewis party
of the second part his heirs and assigns to his and to their own and
only use benefit and behoof in fee simple forever.
And the said John Lewis party of the first part doth hereby
covenant and agree with said William B. Lewis party of the |
