This Indenture made the Fifteenth day of July one thousand Eight
hundred and fifty four Between Eugene Van Ness and Charles W.
Brush surviving Executors of the last will & testament of Doctor
Nehemiah Brush late of the City and State of New York deceased
of the first part, and Christina Link of the County of Alachua
State of Florida of the second part Witnesseth, that the said parties
of the first part by virtue of the power and authority to them given
in and by the said last will and testament, and for and in consider
-ation of the sum of Three Hundred and twenty dollars ($320)
lawful money of the United States of America, to them in hand paid
at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents by the said
party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,
and the said party of the second part, heirs executors and administrators
forever release and discharge from the same by these presents
have granted, Bargained, sold, aliened, released, conveyed, and confirmed
and by these presents do grant bargain sell, alien, release convey and
confirm unto the said party of the second part Heirs and assigns for
ever all that certain section of Land situate lying
and being in the County of Alachua State of Florida, which is
known & designated on a certain map of the Arredondo Grant
made in the year 1846 by Messers Burr & Washington as Section
Thirty Six (36) in Township nine (9) in Range Twenty one (21) 
containing Six Hundred and forty & ninety two Hundredths (640 92/100)
acres of Land be the same more or less, said section of land among
others in said grant, having been purchased by the parties of the first
part, for the benefit of the heirs of the said Doctor N. Brush deceased
at a sale of said Grant in the month of February 1849, made
by order of Court for purposes of partition which sale was
duly confirmed at the June Term of the Circuit Court for the
County of St Johns in said State as will fully appear by ref-
ference to the papers on file in the case of Brush et al VS
Prall et al in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for the
County of Alachua, where also will be found recorded the
last will and testament of the said Doctor N. Brush, Together
with all and singular the edifices, buildings, rights, members
privileges, advantages, herditaments and appurtenances to the
same belonging, or in anywise appertaining, and the reversion
and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and
profits thereof, and also all the estate right, title, interest
claim and demand whatsoever, both in law and equity, which
the said Testator had in his lifetime, and at the time of his
decease and which the said parties of the first part or either of
them have or hath, by virtue of said last will and Testament
or otherwise of in and to the same, and every part and parcel
thereof with the appurtenances, To have and to hold the said
premises above mentioned and described and hereby granted and
conveyed, or intended so to be, with the appurtenances unto the
the said party of the second part, his heirs, and assigns to his
and their only proper use, benefit, and behoof forever
and the said parties of the first part for themselves severally
and respectively and for their several and respective heirs
executors and administrators, do severally, and not jointly nor
the one for the other or others of them, nor for the heirs
