This Indenture made the twenty eighth day of
of March in the year one thousand eight hundred and
fifty five, Between John N. Sayer of the Town of
Riverhead, County of Suffolk, and State of New York
and Elizabeth his wife of the first part, and Henry G.
Marquand of the City of New York, of the second part
Witnesseth, That the said parties of the first part in
consideration of the sum of four hundred and twenty dollars
of the U. States of America, to them duly paid before the
delivery hereof, have bargained and sold, and by these 
presents do grant and convey to the said party of the
second part, his heirs and assigns forever, all lot
piece or parcel of land situated in the County of Alachua
and State of Florida and known as Section number
twenty six (26) in Township nine (9) south of Range
eighteen (18) East, containing Six hundred and forty (640) 
acres be the same more or less which said land is a part
of the Arredondo Grant, and was bid off in my name
at a partition sale of the said Arredondo Grant held at
Micanopy in the month of February 1849, and we
hereby declare that the above described premises hereby
conveyed, are free and clear of all encumbrances of every
kind whatsoever, and are conveyed with all the right,
title, interest, Dower and right of Dower and with the
appurtenances, and all the estate, title and interest of
the said parties of the first part therein, And the said
parties of the first part do hereby covenant and agree
with the said party of the second part that they will
warrant and defend the above granted premises in
the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party
of the second part and to his heirs and assigns for ever,
of the second part Witnesseth whereoff the said
parties of the first part have hereunto set their
hands and seals the day and year first above
written.

that I Elizabeth wife of John N. Sayer the grantor
within named, in consideration of the sum of one
dollar to me in had paid by the grantee, do hereby
relinquish and renounce all my right, title interest
equity and claim of Dower, of in and to the within
described premises and every part and parcel thereof,
