Alachua County } This Indenture made the twenty
seventh day of November in the year one thousand eight hun
dred and fifty two and in the seventy sixth year of American
Independence between Moses E. Levy of St Johns County
& Serafina Chauviteau of Paris France and Joseph De Levante
of London England of the one part and Joshua Stafford
of the other part witnesseth: That the said parties of
the first part for and in consideration of the sum
of four hundred and sixteen & 2/3 dollars in hand paid
at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath
granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed
and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien
convey and confirm unto the said second part his heirs
and assigns one quarter part of a lot of land con-
taining about sixteen hundred sixty six and two thirds
acres known as number Ten, of a tract of land of twenty
thousand acres in the Chachala and Cuskavilla hamocks, orig-
inally granted G.I.F. Clark by the Spanish Govt and now
owned by Moses E. Levy to commence from the south
line of a quarter of the said lot number ten, by W.J. Turner
which quarter is situated at the north end of said lot No 10
and shall extend to the said lot No 10, from which a line
(mag" Meridian ) runs through the breadth of said lot of land
land now sold is estimated to contain, about four hundred
and sixteen and two thirds acres, whis now sold to said
To Have and to hold the said property
with all and singular the rights, members, and appurte-
nances thereof whatsoever to the said party of the second
part, being belonging or in any wise appertaining, with
the remainder and remainders; rents issues and profits thereof
to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said Joshua
Stafford, his heirs, executors and administrators, and assigns
in fee simple: and the said Moses E. Levy, for his heirs
executors and administrators, do covenant with the said
Joshua Stafford, his heirs, executors and administrators, that
he is lawfully seized in fee of the aforegranted premises; that
they are free from all incumbrances; that he has good
right to sell and convey the same to the said Joshua
Stafford, his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful
demands of all persons, by virtue of these presents
