This Indenture made the first day of February
A.D. One thousand Eight hundred and fifty five be-
tween Charles L. Wilson, Sheriff in and for the County
of Alachua and State of Florida party of the first part
and Henry A. Clark & William G. Ferris of Tampa and
State aforesaid of the second part: Whereas by virtue
of a certain execution issued out of and under the
seal of the Circuit Court of Alachua County tested
the 14th day of January A.D. 1854 at the suit of Clark
& Ferris, plaintiffs vs George Watson defendant directed
and delivered to the said Sheriff, commanding him
that of the goods & chattels lands and tenements
of the said defendant he should cause to be made
certain moneys in the said suit specified, the said
sheriff did levy on and seize all the estate right ti-
tle and interest which the said George Watson de-
fendant as aforesaid, had of in and to the premi-
ses hereinafter conveyed and described & on the first
day of February A.D. one thousand eight hundred
and fifty five, sold the said premises at public
auction at the Court House in the town of Newnans-
ville in said County having first given public notice
of the time and place of such sale by advertising
the same according to law, of which sale the said
premises were struck off to the parties of the second
part for the sum of Two hundred and five dollars
they being the highest bidders and that being the
highest bid sum bidden for the same. Now this
Indenture Witnesseth, that the said party of the first

part by virtue of the^writ, and in pursuance of the
act in such cases made and provided & in consid-
eration of the sum of money so bidden as aforesaid
to him duly paid, hath sold and by these presents
doth grant and convey unto the said parties of the sec-
ond, all the estate, right title and interest which the
said George Watson defendant as aforesaid had on 
the first day of February A.D. 1855 of in and to all
that certain piece or parcel of land situated and lying
in the County of Alachua & State of Florida to wit:
The South 1/2 half of the South East quarter & North west
quarter of South East quarter (North West 1/4 of the E1/4) &
SE1/4 of the SW1/4 containing 155 76/100 acres and the North
half of the south west quarter, section ten, township
eight south of Range eighteen, containing eighty acres
more or less. All the above described land lying and
being situated in section ten Township eight south of
Range eighteen. To Have and to hold the said
above mentioned & described premises unto the said unto
the said parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns
forever, as fully and absolutely as the said party of
the first part as sheriff can or ought to by virtue
of the said writ, and the law relative thereto
