whatsoever of the said Simeon J. Sanchez unto and over
the same and whereas the said John G. Rawls did
then bid the sum of fifty dollars and no person
bidding more the said tract or parcel of land
appurtenances was in due manner openly struck off
and sold to the said John G. Rawls for the said sum
of fifty dollars Therefore to confirm the said purchase
to the said John G. Rawls so as aforesaid made this
Indenture Witnesseth that the said Geo B. Ellis sheriff
of the County aforesaid for and in consideration of
the sum of fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the
said John G. Rawls the receipt whereof is hereby ac-
knowledged hath given granted bargained sold released
conveyed and confirmed and by these presents does
give grant bargain sell release convey and confirm
unto the said John G. Rawls his heirs and assigns forever
all that tract or parcel of land situate in the County
aforesaid according to the survey of the United States lot
 three
No 3 Sec twenty two township eight (8) Range eighteen (18)
East with the appurtenances thereunto to the same belonging
or in any wise appertaining with all the estate right
title interest property claimed and demanded of the said
Simeon J. Sanchez his one half interest in and to the 
above described property unto and over the same and
every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the
all and singular the above granted and bargained
premises and appurtenances unto the said John G. Rawls
his heirs and assigns to the only proper use, benefit
and behoof of the said Jno G. Rawls his heirs and 
assigns forever in as full and ample a manner as
I the said Geo B. Ellis by virtue of the authority aforesaid
might or ought to convey the same. In testimony where
of I the said Geo B. Ellis sheriff as aforesaid have hereunto
set my hand and seal the day and year first above
written.
