Before me Lemuel Wilson clerk of the circuit court
of Alachua county Eastern Circuit of Florida personally
came on this 15th day of February 1856 John H. Ellis one
of the subcribing witnesses to the foregoing deed who being
duly sworn says that he saw the same signed sealed
and delivered for the purposes therein mentioned

     This Indenture made and entered into this the fifteenth
day of February in the year one thousand eight hundred
and fifty six between Jeptha Knight and Mary 
M. Knight his wife of the county of Alachua and
state of Florida of the first part and John B.
Standley of the same place of the second part,
Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for
and in consideration of Three Thousand dollars to
them in hand paid by the said party of the second
part at and before the sealing of these presents the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted 
bargained sold aliened remised released conveyed and
confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell
alien remise release convey and confirm with the said
party of the (second) part and to his heirs and assigns
forever all that certain tract or parcel of land in
the county of Alachua and state of Florida designated
on the map or plat of survey of the Arredondo grant
made in the year 1846 by Mesrs Burr & Washington
as the section twelve (12) in Township ten (10) south
of Range eighteen East containing Six hundred and
forty (640) acres more or less together with al and sin-
gular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances
thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the
reversion and reversions remainder and remainders
rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate
right title interest property, possession claim and
demand whatsoever as well in law as in equity of the
said parties of the first part of in or to the above described
premises and any part and parcel thereof with the
appurtenances To have and to hold all and Singular
