one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing deed
of conveyance who being duly sworn says that he saw
the same signed sealed and delivered by the parties to
the same for the purposes therein mentioned.

Alachua County This Indenture made and entered
into this the fifth day of February in the year of our
Lord One Thousand eight hundred and fifty six (1856)
between Simeon Sykes Houston County State of Georgia
of the first part and James C. Standly of the
county of Alachua and State of Florida of the second
part Witnesseth that the said party of the first
part for and in consideration of Eleven hundred
dollars to him in hand paid by James C. Standly
party of the second part at and before the sealing
and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged hath bargained, sold granted
enfeoffed conveyed and confirmed and by these
presents do grant bargain sell enfeoff convey and
confirm unto the said party of the second part his
heirs and assigns all that certain tract or parcel of
land Known and described in the land office of United
States at Newnansville Florida as the North West
quarter of Section Twenty six in Township eight
South of Range Eighteen East and Lot Number
Twenty four of Section Twenty six Township No. 8
eight South of Range Eighteen East containing in
all Two hundred and thirty five and 52/100 acres
more or less together with all the rights privileges
improvements and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any
wise appertaining and the remainder and remainders
reversion and reversions rents issues and profits thereof,
To have and to hold the same unto the said party
of the second part his heirs and assigns forever in
fee simple, and the said party of the first part for
himself his heirs executors and administrators with
the said party of the second part his heirs executors
administrators and assigns against him the said party
of the first part and all persons claiming by through and
under him and against all persons whatsoever the
said bargained premises shall and will warrant
and forever defend by these presents.
