Before me Lemuel Wilson, Clerk of circuit court of
Alachua county Eastern circuit of Florida personally
appeared on this the fifth day of February 1856
Simeon Sikes to me well Known and acknowledged
that he executed the foregoing deed to James C.
Standly for the purposes therein mentioned.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
official signature the day and year above written

This Indenture made the fourth day of February in
the year One thousand eight hundred and fifty six between
Samuel J. Kennard constable of Alachua county in the
state of Florida of the one part and John G. Rawls
of the county and state aforesaid of the other part
Witnesseth. That whereas John G. Rawls sued out of the
justice court of Alachua County a writ of Fieni Facias
against the Estate of Edward R. Power for the sum of
twenty eight dollars and six cents with costs bearing
date 28th day of April 1855 returnable when satisfied
said Fi Fa aforesaid levied the same on a certain
piece of land as the estate of Edward R. Power and
he failing to make payment of said debt the said constable
as aforesaid in persuance of said writ and according
to the law of said State having legally advertised
did made Known the same did on the fourth of February
A.D. 1856 at Newnansville in the county aforesaid expose
to sale by public vendue or auction the aforesaid tract
of land with appurtenances and all the estate right title
claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Edward
R. Power in to and over the same and whereas the said
John G. Rawls did then and there bid the sum of one hun-
dred and five dollars and no persons bidding more
the said tract or parcel of land and appurtenances
