was in due manner struck off openly and sold to the said
John G. Rawls for the sum of one hundred and five
dollars therefore to confirm the said purchase to
the said John G. Rawls so as aforesaid made this
Indenture Witnesseth that the said Samuel J. Kennard
Constable of the County aforesaid for and in consider-
ation of the sum of one hundred and five to him
in hand paid by the said John G. Rawls the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bar-
gained sold released conveyed and confirmed and by
these presents do give grant bargain sell release convey
and confirm unto the said John G. Rawls his heirs and
assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land known
and described on the map of the U States survey as
West 1/2 half of south west 1/4 quarter and south East
1/4 quarter of south west 1/4 quarter of section (11) eleven
Township (8) Eight south of Range (19) nineteen East with
the appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise
appertaining with all the estate right title interest prop
erty claim and demand of the said Edward R. Power
in to or over the same and every part and parcel there-
of To have and to hold all and singular the above
granted and bargained premises and appurtenances
to said John G. Rawls his heirs and assigns forever in
as full and ample a manner as I the said Samuel
J. Kennard by virtue of the authority aforesaid
might or ought to convey the same
In testimony whereof I the said Samuel J. Kennard
Constable as aforesaid have hereunto set my hand
and seal this fourth day of February A.D. 1856
