his heirs or assigns covenants and agrees to and
with the said party of the first part his heirs
and assigns, that he will pay for the said land
the sum of Two Thousand five hundred and
Sixty Dollars with lawfull interest to be paid
annually as follows, One third of said sum
at this date and the Balance to be paid in two
payments to be made on the 1st day of January
in the year 1857 & 1858 and that he will pay the
taxes hereafter to be assessed upon the same

This Indenture made this sixth day of February in
the year One thousand eight hundred and fifty six
between George B. Ellis Sheriff of the County of
Alachua in the State of Florida of the one part and
George L. Brown of the County and State aforesaid
of the second part, Witnesseth, That Whereas Philip
Dell Exec and other plaintiffs in Execution sued out
of the Clerks Office of the Alachua Circuit Court
writ of fieri facias against the estate of Edward
R. Power for the sum of one thousand eight
hundred dollars also thirty five dollars for costs
bearing date the tenth day of December Eighteen
hundred and fifty five with interest therein
from that date returnable when satisfied which
fifa was directed to the Sheriff aforesaid and
levied by him on a certain tract or parcel of land
as the Estate of Edward R. Power and he failing
for the payment of said debt interest and cost
the said Sheriff in pursuance of said writ and
according to the law of said state having legally
advertised and made known the same did on
the fourth day of February A.D. 1856 at Newnansville
in the county aforesaid expose for sale by public
auction the aforesaid tract or parcel of land
with the appurtenances and all the estate right
title claim and demand whatsoever of the
said Edward R. Power unto and over the same and
whereas the said George L. Brown did then bid
the sum of Sixty six dollars and no person |
