Alachua County   } Be it known that on this 15th day of Feb
ruary AD 1856 before me the subscriber a Justice of the
Peace in & for said County personally came Isaac J. Carter
and his wife Sarah Ann Carter to me well known &
acknowledged the within deed of conveyance to be their act
and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and that
I am well acquainted with them both and know them to
be the identical persons named in & who executed the said
deed.

of full age on a private examination taken and
made separate and apart from her said husband
acknowledged that she executed the said deed freely
and voluntarily and without any compulsion constraint
apprehension or fear of or from her said husband.

Know all men by these presents that we Jonas
Driggers & his wife Lucretia of Alachua County
in the State of Florida for and in consideration
of the sum of fifteen hundred dollars to us in hand
paid by Samuel B. Thompson of Duval County State
aforesaid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
have granted bargained & sold and by these presents
do grant bargain sell & convey unto the said S.B.
Thompson a certain piece parcel or tract of land
lying and being situate in Alachua County afore-
said and described a follows viz, Lot No Eight (8) &
the North half lot No nine (9) in Section No thirty one
(31) of Township No seven (7) south & Range No twenty
(20) East and the south east quarter & the North East quarter
of South west quarter of Section No thirty six (36) in
in Township No (7) seven south & Range No Nineteen
