Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents that
I James T. Thomas of the County and State aforesaid for
and in consideration of the sum of Nine thousand dollars
to me in hand paid at and before ensealing and deliver-
ing of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowl-
edged have bargained sold and delivered unto Wm C.
Cunningham of Kershaw Dist in the State of South Car-
olina all those lots tracts or parcels of land situated
within the Arredondo Grant County and State aforesaid
and known in the plan of survey of said grant made
by Messrs Burr & Washington, Viz south half of Section
thirty six (36) Township Nine (9) also section one (1) Township
Ten (10) also East half and the west half of east half of the
south east quarter of section two (2) Township Ten (10) all in
Range Nineteen containing One thousand & eighty acres (1080)
more or less And I do hereby bargain sell release deliv
-er and convey unto the said Wm C. Cunningham all my
right title and interest in the above described lands togeth
-er with all the rights members hereditaments and appurtenances
incident thereto or in any wise appertaining and bind
myself my heirs executors administrators and assigns
to warrant and forever defend unto the said Wm C.
Cunningham his heirs executors administrators assigns
the above described lands against all persons lawfully
claiming the same or any part thereof
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed my seal this the fourth day of Feb in year of our
Lord Eighteen hundred & fifty six (1856)

Know all men by these presents that I Elizabeth J. Thomas
the wife of James T. Thomas the grantor of the foregoing deed
for the conveyance of real estate for and in consideration
of the premises in said deed recited and in further con-
sideration of the sum of one dollar to me paid by Wil-
liam C. Cunningham at and before the ensealing of these
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do re-
nounce release and relinquish unto the said William C.
Cunningham all my right claim or equity of dower in
and to the premises in said deed conveyed as fully and
absolutely as I might or could in any way do the same
Witness my hand and seal this eight (8) day of Febry in
the year Eighteen hundred and fifty six
