Court of St Johns County in the Eastern Judicial Circuit
of the State of Florida do hereby certify that George Mor-
ton Payne George R. Fairbanks and William A. Forward
the signers and sealers of the within instrument severally
acknowledged the same to be their act and deed for the
uses and purposes therein mentioned.
And I further certify that the said George Morton
Payne George R. Fairbanks and William A. Forward
are the Commissioners duly appointed and fully author-
ised by an order of Court to execute title to the respect-
ive purchasers of the lands sold under the decree rela-
ting to the partition of the Arredondo grant.
             In Testimony whereof I hereunto set my

County of Alachua } This Indenture made on the Twenty first
day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and fifty four between Joel B. Smith of
the first part and Geo W. Means of the second part
both of the State and County aforesaid of the Village
of Micanopy. Witnesseth, That for and in consideration of the
sum of Five hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and
before the sealing & delivery hereof the receipt whereof 
is hereby acknowledged the said party of the first part
has given granted bargained sold and conveyed and by
these presents does so give grant bargain sell and
convey unto the said party of the second part his
heirs and assigns the following mentioned and de-
scribed parcels of land or town lots situate in the
Village of Micanopy. That is to say, Eight acres more or
less bound on the East by lands of R.S. Stoughton the
south by the Newnansville Street & on the West by lands now
owned by Joel B. Smith and known on the plat belonging
to the said Smith as lots No One, Two, Three, and Four,
of Township Three and Range One and lots No One two
three and four of Township Four and Range one &
containing in all eight acres more or less exclusive
of the streets passing through the same as represented
on the said plat.
