who executed the foregoing relinquishment of dower and
she being examined by me separate and apart from
her husband declared that she executed the same freely
and voluntarily without any fear compulsion or re-
straint from her said husband

State of Florida }
Alachua County   } This Indenture made on the
Twenty second day of January in the year One thousand
Eight hundred and fifty six between George B. Payne
& Catherine his wife of the first part and Abraham
Roulain of the City of Charleston S.C. of the second part
Witnesseth, That for and in consideration of the sum of
One hundred and forty dollars to them in hand paid
at and before the sealing and delivery of these pres-
ents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the
said parties of the first part have bargained sold
given granted and conveyed and by these presents
do so bargain sell give grant & convey unto the
said party of the second part the following Town lot
or parcel of land situate in the Village of Micanopy and
known and described as follows, To wit. The lot lying
on the south west part of the public square and extend-
ing fifty five feet along said square and running
back due west one hundred feet & containing one
eighth of an acre more or less said lot being bounded
on the East by the Public Square on the North
by the lot now owned occupied by J.H. McGinnis
& Co and on the West by the lands now owned
by John H. Cosby To Have and to Hold the said prem-
ises above described together with the store house buildings
improvements & appurtenances to the same belonging or in
any wise appurtaining unto the said party of the second 
part his heirs & assigns absolutely & in fee forever.
And the said parties of the first part sell & convey the
premises above described and the said party of the second
part receives the same on the express condition that
he the said party of the second part his heirs executors
administrators & assigns shall not vend on the same
any spirituous liquors in quantities less than one quart
and that on the violation of this condition the said prem-
ises shall revert to the said parties of the first part
their heirs executors & administrators.
And the said parties of the first part covenant with
