   Before me Lemuel Wilson Clerk of the Circuit Court
of Alachua County in Eastern Circuit of Florida personally
came on this the second day of April AD 1856, William
D. Clark to me well known and acknowledged
that he executed the foregoing instrument to John
C. Richard Jr, for the purposes therein mentioned.

This Indenture made the tenth day of March in the
year one thousand Eight hundred & fifty six between
William J. Clark of Alachua County State of Florida
of the first part and John C. Richard Jr of Duval
County & same State of the second part,
Witnesseth that the said William J. Clark for & in con-
sideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars to
           duly
him in hand^paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowl-
edged hath granted bargained & sold & by these presents
doth grant bargain sell & convey to the said John
C. Richard Jr a certain piece parcel or quantity of land
lying & being in the aforesaid Alachua County and
which is known & described as follows To wit, The south
half of Lot No (11) eleven & the whole of lots No (12) twelve
& (13) thirteen in section No (31) thirty one in Township 
No (7) seven south of the base line & Range No (20)
Twenty East of the Principal meridian containing
Two hundred acres the same more or less together
with all & singular the tenements hereditaments &
appurtenances and all the estate title & interest
of the said William D. Clark therein. And the said
Wm J. Clark doth hereby covenant & agree with the
said J.C. Richard Jr that at the time of the delivery
hereof he the said W.J. Clark is the lawful owner
of the premises above granted & seized thereof in
fee simple absolute & that he will warrant &
