This Indenture made this the twentieth day
of June in the year of our Lord One thousand eight
hundred and fifty six between Solomon F. Halliday
of Newnansville, Alachua County and State of Florida
of the first part, and Herman A. Crane, and James
G. Rogers of the City of Savannah and State of Georgia
of the second part, Witnesseth: That the party of the
first part in consideration of the sum of five hundred
and seventy ($570) dollars lawful money of the United States
to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened
remised released conveyed and confirmed, and do
by these presents grant bargain sell, alien remise
release convey and confirm unto the said parties
of the second part and to their heirs and assigns
forever all those tracts and parcels of land lying
in the County of Alachua and State of Florida,
South half of Lot No Four (4) Section number eight (8)
and Lot number six (6) of Section number Nine (9)
Township Number eight (8) and Range number Eighteen
(18) East, containing in the aggregate One hundred and
ten acres (110); Also section number one (1) Township
number seven (7) south of Range Fifteen East lying
and being on the line of Alachua and Columbia
Counties, the same containing six hundred & forty
acres (640) more or less; also West half of south
west fourth of section six (6) Township seven (7)
Range sixteen (16) East, the same lying and
being in the County of Columbia in said State and
containing Eighty (80) acres, Also east half of N.
E. quarter & South west quarter of North East fourth
North half of lots number two and and the whole
of lot number (3) of section thirty four (34) Township
fourteen (14) south of Range number twenty three
East containing two hundred and fifty five acres
(255) in the County of Marion and State of Florida
together with and singular the tenements and here-
ditaments thereunto belonging or in any wise appertain
ing, and the reversion and reversions remainder
and remainders, rents issues and profits thereof
and also all the Estate, right, title interest, claim
and demands whatsoever as well in law as in equity
of the said party of the first part in
and to the same
  To Have and to Hold the above granted prem
ises and described premises with the appurte-
nances unto the said parties of the second part
their heirs and assigns forever to their own
proper use benefit and behoof forever
   Provided always, and these presents
are upon this condition, that if the said party
of the first shall well and truly pay
or cause to be paid his certain promissory
