September in each year, and will be each for the
sum of One thousand Dollars
and whereas also the said parties of the first part are the
owners in fee of the lands on which the Towns of Fernandina
and Cedar Key the terminal points of the said road are
situated together with about four hundred thousand acres
of other lands lying within six miles of the said road
along the line thereof, and is desirous to secure the
prompt payment of the principal and interest of the
said bonds above described bonds as well by a conveyance
upon
of said town sites and lands as by a mortgage of
their road, depots, stations, equipments, franchises and
appurtenances. Now therefore in consideration of the prem
ises and in further consideration of the sum of five Dol-
lars to the said party of the first part, in hand paid
by the said parties of the second part, the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said party of the first
part hath given, granted, aliened, bargained, sold
remised released conveyed and confirmed and by
these presents, do give grant alien bargain sell remise
release convey and confirm unto the said parties of
the second part all and singular their Roadway now
constructed, or to be hereafter constructed with their de-
pots, stations, cars, locomotives and equipments now
purchased or to be hereafter purchased, and all the
appurtenances of said Road and franchises of said
company: also all and singular the several pieces
or parcels of land situate lying and being in the Island
of Amelia in the County of Nassau and State of Florida
embracing the site of the present Town of Fernandina the
eastern terminus of the said Florida Rail Road which
said lands were designated in the conveyances to the
said Florida Rail Road Company, by the following
descriptions Viz: the Louisa or Eliza plantation containing
six hundred and twenty five acres more or less: the Yellow
Bluff tract containing two hundred and fifty acres, also the tract
of land known as the Lang tract, or section twenty three, also
the tract of land known as the Cape or Bachelot land, on -
section twenty four, which east two tracts or parcels of
land contain six hundred acres of land more or less.
also lots numbers four and five in section fourteen con-
taining one hundred and sixty acres more or less; also
the west half of section fourteen containing three hundred
and forty four acres. Also fractional section sixteen
containing twenty acres more or less. Also lots one
two, three, and four in section Eighteen containing three
hundred and sixty acres more or less. Also fractional
section number twenty containing twenty five acres, also
lots numbers one and two of section number twenty
five, containing two hundred and seven acres, the
whole of which lands as described above are in Township
three or Range Twenty eight North and East according
to the designation of the United States Land offices, and |
