Alachua County   } Before the subscriber Clerk
of the Circuit Court of Alachua County, Eastern
Circuit of Florida, personally came Wilbur Cumba
the grantor of the foregoing Deed and to me well Know
known, and acknowledged that he had executed the same
for the purposes therein mentioned

  This Indenture made the eight day of January in the
     one thousand eight hundred 
year eighteen hundred and fifty five, Between George R. Fairbanks
of St Augustine Florida party of the first part, and John C.
Dickinson of Alachua County Coun Florida, Witnesseth
that the said party of the first part, in consideration of the
sum of two hundred and forty dollars to him in hand
paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained
and sold, and by these presents, doth grant and convey unto
the said John C. Dickinson party of the second part, his
heirs and assigns for ever, all that certain tract or parcel of
land, Situate in the County of Alachua and State of Florida
being part and parcel of the Arredondo Grant and
designated on the map of said grant, made by Messrs Burr
and Washington, Commissioners in the year 1846, as the North
West Quarter, and the west half of the North
East Quarter of Section Number fifteen, Township two
and Range twenty one, of said grant, containing two hundred
and forty (240) acres more or less, with the appurtenances, and all the
estate, title and interest of the said parties of the first part therein,
and the said party of the first part, doth hereby covenant and agree
with the said party of the second part, that at the time of the delivery
hereof, the said party of the first part, is the lawful owner of the
premises above granted, and seized thereof in fee simple, and that
he warrant and defend the above granted premises in the quiet and
peaceable possession of the said party of the second part, his
heirs and assigns fore ever,
      In Witness whereof, the said party of the first part hath
hereunto set his hand and seal, the day and year first above
written

Alachua County ss} personally appeared before me Geo R. Fairbanks the
